We had a big rescue day yesterday with 16 pups on board! 🐶✈️ We took off from our home airport (KLHZ) and flew to Elizabethtown, NC to pick up all of our furbaby passengers. From there, we headed to Suffolk, VA to meet our friend Pilot Hillel, who continued their journey to Baltimore before handing them off to the northern pilot that flew them all the way to Watertown, NY.
It was such a busy (and fun!) day. Scarlett and I had to get up at 5am. I was still in my pajamas and snoozed most of the way to the airport — almost all the way to Elizabethtown too! But Mom woke me up, combed my hair, and got me dressed so I was ready to greet the pups.
The dogs were gorgeous and so sweet. Willow, the Great Dane, was huge — she rode up front with Mom and Dad and loved every second. And little Pearl and I became instant besties. She sat with me looking out the window the whole way. 💕
