Candy Williams is a HAPPY girl!

Good morning everyone, It doesn’t seem like it’s over six years since our favorite rescue girl landed in NC.   Candy, (named after Candace Engle, the wonderful rescue lady that saved her) was in a high kill shelter in Kentucky and was within hours of being euthanized.   Candace made some phone calls, told them she had an adopter, got her execution stopped and then things really got to rolling.   Candace posted the transport request on Pilots N Paws and her trip was scheduled.  My Mom and Dad met the Kentucky Pilot in Winston Salem, NC and headed to...

Cookie!

Finally, it’s my turn for a cookie.   I was really busy earlier today!   I had a spa appointment and then had to head to the park to get some exercise in and do “my business”.  I’m off by a couple of hours today and can tell a biggg difference.   As soon as we got back home, I got my baby, perched myself in the most comfortable chair in the house with my blankie,,,and took a nap!   I stress when I go to the spa.   Today was just me....Scarlett is every other 4 weeks....I get anxiety when it’s...

Simply Suzanne’s at Martinsville, VA Airport (Blue Ridge)

Good morning everyone,  if you’ve never been to Simply Suzanne’s Cafe at Martinsville, VA, you are really missing out!   The food is sooo delicious and the service is 5 stars too!  Dad, Mom, Scarlett and I flew up yesterday for lunch.   Mom had the old fashioned chicken & dumplings with string beans and a roll.   Daddy had a grilled chicken sandwich with chips.   Plus......desserts are over the top!   Mom loved the chicken and dumplings so much that she placed another order and brought it home with her.   Scarlett and I LOVE flying up here....

Flowers are ready!

I have been one busy girl helping plant the impatients for the gate!   Mom makes these and gives them away.   But this year we are keeping 3! What is your favorite colorful plant?   Mom likes perennials because they come back every year but she loves impatients and begonia too...she says they give colorful POP to the garden.
